Hunting?

Postby Denki Wolf on Sat Mar 27, 2010 4:24 pm

As a disclaimer, I am in no way a hunter!
I can not hurt any living animals.
From a bug up to a human.
I just can't do it.
(Except for Spiders. Those things give me the creeps)

I live in an area where hunting is a huge thing.
Of course this makes me a bit uncomfortable.
But the thing is, I am an Omnivore.
In other words, I do eat meat.
I can not hunt myself, but I am fine with others doing it, under circumstances.

Now what I am making this for is to discuss about a big thing in hunting.
There are idiots out there who hurt what God has put on this earth, and disrespect there death as it has happened.
Can you see where this is going?
I do not agree with people who kill an animal, and does not use all they can out of what they killed.
Hunting for game basically, not for life.
It makes me so mad when any animal is hurt and there fur is thrown away, or even there meat, and so on.
It just boils my blood.
I guess that is one thing that stuck out about the Wolf to me.
Was the big hunt for them from the 1800's through 1970's, If memory serves, but it was slowed to a hault by a bill claiming the wolf as an endangered animal.
But unfortunatly they have always been hunted when more blame should be on other animals, heck.
Nature, age, death.
Not just wolves.
And so they where unable to use everything, but also some to most wouldn't use any of it, just as a Game.
So to wrap it up I just want to see what all of you think about hunting.

Again, In no way have I ever or will ever hunt another creature.
I just can't hurt Animals so beautiful.

Edit: Also I only condone hunting when they are quickly killed, not when they are tortured.

I agree with you, i hate spiders to, they move far to quickly !, lol. I wonder what this will come up with. I personally came from a family that didn't agree with hunting. but we did kill our own meat that was born and raised on our farm.

I do not support Sport Hunting. This includes Sport Fishing.

But any other form of hunting in which the meat or fur is used, I don't have a problem with.

A few exceptions are things like the fur trade, where animals are bred specifically for their fur, and are usually tortured in the process.

Also included in the exceptions is anything similar to poaching.

Lastly, I disagree with any use of furs as a form of "luxury clothing."
I need a new sig.

You know, I don't really mind fishing. I dunno why. I go fishing from time to time. I always feel bad sticking the worm onto the hook, though...

Whenever I catch fish, usually just some blue gills, I always let them go. My friend Randy always cuts off their heads and uses them as bait, though. >:

I used to do fishing a long time ago, and I used worms once. I found that even cheap plastic lures worked better in some cases.

I think people who kill things should have the guts to admit to themselves that the deer or whatever does not feel any better if they use all of it. If you need food, use it for food. If you just want it's head, take it's head. You've killed it, that's the only part it gave a damn about.

Thats an interesting, and very good point, Fenrir.
But, I must say that I too have no problem with normal fishing for food.
Though, I throw what I get back.
Also, I swear a cricket bite me once!
I let other people handle the bait.
Lol.
Yeah, I know, a bit sad.

I have no problem with hunting as long as every thing is used it seems like a waste to me if you just hunt for the fun of the kill, and it should be fast and you should wish it better luck in the next life (if you belive in a next life that is).

I dont like the idea of raising your own animals for food it seems wrong to me. how could you raise and take care of someone since they were small and then eat them? =(
they trust you, it so wrong to raise a animal take care of it have it trust you then eat it.

I think everybody should have the chance to live, the animals that people hunt at lessed have a chance to get away and live, farm animals don't have that chance, thay are born just to die.
