"Life, imagination
Missing link in the chain
We'll fuel your minds
Color your thoughts
Come to you waking dreams..."

What, exactly, had determined that she would forever be the one living in the shadow of another, only to be forsaken each and every time she found her rest? It did not matter which side she was on, apparently. The Vampires had left her. Abandoned her, actually. They had walked away from her, not the other way around. Oh, of course they would tell it a different way; she was the villain, walking away from them. Really, that simply wasn't true! She was just... smarter than they were. Yes, that was it. Smarter. She had struck a deal with her Master, but, really, who wouldn't? The sheer amount of power surrounding him was intoxicating.

Besides, HE was not like the Vampires. He saw her dedication, and rewarded her for all of her efforts. The most recent had been of a more... beneficial nature. You see, she was very easily bought by the one thing that every living soul desired; POWER. Among her own kind, weak. But never weak in front of her Master. He saw her for her true potential, and rewarded her for her efforts. Oh, yes. First, calling her from the dead of night to perform a brutal task that she was more than willing to do. Her reward that night? A 'wink' of one yellow eye, as she had done battle with a veritable army of Kobolds, her Master by her side! The tasks, in succession, had become more difficult, but they were all performed with the utmost skill. As a result, Cry had risen in the ranks to her present; Shield Guardian.

But she was tired... so very tired. She had been forced to take her rest, and upon waking, found herself alone again. It was beginning to become a somewhat normal occurrence. But the night was fine, with the moon shining overhead in a silver sliver, among a star-studded, velvet sky. It was one of those rare nights, the like of which is hardly ever seen. Hardly a wisp of cloud remained in the sky as she left the foxhole she had been forced to choose to keep her covered the previous night.

Nostrils flared as a gradually cooling breeze gently caressed the fur of her cheeks, eyes sharp as she scanned the area. Nothing worth wasting her time on, here. The Regale strode out further, sniffing the wind. It carried the essence of life; a warm, coppery taste that she could not get enough of. Cry did not hunt out of necessity; rather, she liked the thrill of the chase. Loved to see the terror in their eyes before she ended their pathetic existence. On such a wonderful night, though, she would rather have a companion to join her in her nightly prowls.

Time would tell.

Oh, yes, time would tell.

OOC: Re-Introducing Thaed, Brother to Caoen. :) lyrics: "Breakdown," by Seether.

[i]The sun is gone and the flowers rot
Words are spaces between us
And I should've been drown in the rivers I've found of token lost
And I should've been down when you made me insecure..

There was nothing more beautiful than a night like tonight. The air crisp and tinted with the scent of liquid copper, the metallic taste floating throughout the breezes and cloudless, , and skies. It was a beautiful night for bloodshed, but Thaed could have been in better spirits, but it was obvious that he was not (though to any stranger, he held himself with poise and grace, and he moved in a handsomely hostile way across the ground).

He was quiet tonight, his obsidian figure moving mirthlessly across the ground, each step forward well-calculated and executed with a grace fit for a king.

But Thaed was king of nothing, other than himself. He observed no law, respected no word other than his own. Yet, there was nothing worth while for him, and there seemed to be no need for him in this Realm. How h happened to wonder within it was his best guess, but for now, these thoughts were shoved out of his mind as he locked his senses upon the scent of blood that tickled the breezes amongst the stars.

So break me down if it makes you feel right
And hate me now if it keeps you alright
You can break me down if it takes all your might
'cause I'm so much more than meets the eye

The black wolf moved forward, with a stealth that was somewhat serene. His senses tuned out any sort of thought that may have been forming within his mind; tonight was purely led on instinct. The process of thought had been brutally over-ruled. Two eyes, statically shining and focused forward, narrowed for a moment, honing in a a glimpse of movement just ahead of him, a flash of blue in the starlight. Her eyes. His head tilted slightly, his senses intrigued. They were sapphires, caught on fire.

His ears flickered forward, alert and acutely stalking the sounds of her footsteps. With each step, his curiosity and intrigue heightened, urging him forward in a quiet manner. His steps were hushed, but he kept a mannerable distance, watching her as she moved.

He knew his presence was as equivocally commanding as her own, and that she must have felt him there. He would be nothing but surprised if she had not. His nose quivered with each change in the wind, including the addition of her scent to his internal scent bank. It was a quiet scent, but he found it incredibly overbearing; there was a slight wrinkle to his brow. Eyes colored like amethystine gems twinkled in the starlight, revealing no emotion, nor did the muscles of his face. Thaed simply followed her, not bothering announcing himself to her.

A walk under the stars was simply a walk. They both sought out the same thing, their trails crossing and now one single path, led by the need to satisfy a yearning for a very abundant, renewable resource: blood. The word bounced off of the walls of his mind, sending his mouth slightly watering. His body lacked the normal amounts of blood, and he found himself hunting for it. He was definitely not what would be called a vampire. He did not feed off of others for simply their blood. He hunted for pleasure, and for necessity, also knowing that blood was simply a mineral his body needed to function.

And I'm the one you can never trust
'cause wounds are ways to reveal us
And yeah I could have tried and devoted my life to both of us
But what a waste of my time when the world we have is yours

Thaed simply led himself, not allowed to think, only to be guided by natural things. Tonight was a night to simply be. And if it happened to clash with the plans of another, who seemed to be doing the same thing, so be it. Thaed was living, for now, in a world without words, only actions, only the language of the body and of one's surroundings.

Hate me, break me down
So break me down

Tonight, he had, at last, himself over to his senses.
[underneath it all, we feel so small.]
the heavens fall, but still we crawl.

((As promised))

The nightsky bore down on the female, her black wings were almost invisible against the night. Her pure black eyes, black legs and black snowflake mark seemed invisble, and as she moved, it was liek she wasn't completely there.

In truth, she wasn't, but her 'other half' was dangerous.

It's name was Malum, which meant evil.

But, her other half was sleeping, it was tired. She had compassion, even on pure evil, and let Malum sleep. Malum had saved their lives, again, so now Glacialis let her sleep.

Glacialis had no where to go, not even a pack to hold her down. She wandered, fearing relationship because of Malum. Her evil half was a cannibal, and ate almost everything living it could get its paws on. Squirrels, wolves, foxes, even spiders, where stuffed into her greedy gut. Malum wasn't let out very often, so it gorged when it was.

While you may think she just had a split personality, it was more then that. When Glaze used her Telepathy abilties, she becomes possessed by Malum, and undergoes a transformation unlike any other. Her fur turns black with purple legs and a white snowflake mark, her eyes become acidic green and her wings become purple and green.

But, if Malum used Telekenisis, Glaze regained control, thus limiting her evil. Glaze smiled as Mal slept, she was no threat now.

Glaze was never usually this far from the mountians, but she needed a change in the view. Lowlands where so pretty, and Glaze soon found herself lost in the beauty.

But then, the wind shifted.

She walked carefully, she smelled Vampire scent. She entered a scene where a black vampress and a male where. She sat down, gently and smiled at the two and waited.
