Another wolf v coyote vid

Postby Dark-Hyena on Mon Dec 24, 2007 8:00 am

This is rather harrowing, so I'd advise sensitive viewers to overlook this.

This video makes me really wonder just what circumstances are necessary for wolves and coyotes to mate? Have any articles been written on the subject? Bonding was very much the last thing on these wolves minds.

There is now a growing band of us, who came to the African bush with all our prejudices, with all that 'common knowledge' about hyenas which proved so totally wrong, and who just fell for the spell of animals which were so totally different- Hans Kruuk

Yea, alot of speculation has arisen about the Eastern Red Wolf's link to Coyote/Wolf DNA? Who's to say?

Mankind makes judgements just as bad!

It could happen if an ostracized/lone wolf was in heat and
happened to cross a coyote... ? ^=^ That's my thought on
it...

Yea, Coyote's & Wolves are known to be enemies......

You notice the Wolves don't mind sharing the kill with the Birds.

Birds are little and taste like chicken.
May the light shine always soft and warm upon you,
may the breeze carry you the scents and sounds of eternal Spring,
just as my heart will dwell forever in Autumn without you,
and the bell that tolls for me will ever ring.

They would both probably be young and sense it almost only happens in places with very low wolf population, the wolf probably is very lonely...

That coyote got powned... :?
