I'm really enjoying studying this. ^^
I just have one question for you Americans, well its more of a request then a question. I was wondering if any of you know of any up to date sites related to YellowStone National Park since my next topic is to do with Conservation, Ecology and Management etc.

I'll also have a look around but I thought I'd come here first to see if you guys know of any good sites. (:

Thanks for all your help!!

I focused more on psychology and behavioral genetics...

I did, however, find a huge collection of stuff on wolf wildlife preservations and statistics... but I can't recall if it was for Yellowstone or Alaska... it's on my computer at home and, well, I'm not at home.... so me making this post will hopefully remind me to look for the stuff when I get home ^.^

Ok, I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but it may give you something to work with.

414 pages worth of "The Reintroduction of Gray Wolves to Yellowstone National Park and Central Idaho". However, it was published in May of 1994. It details EVERYTHING; Purpose, Action, Environmental Impact, Alternatives to Reintroductions, Consequences, and Coordination.

This is the non-reprinted versions, meaning this is straight up solid science and research. No bias or anything like that.

I also have a 73 page document from the Federal Reserve dated April of 2003 outlining the "Final Rule To Reclassify and
Remove the Gray Wolf From the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in Portions of the Conterminous United
States".

I also have a 32 page outline of the "Idaho Wolf Conservation and Management Plan" dated March 2002.

Lastly, I have an outline of laws regarding wolves over the past 100 years (1915-2000).

I can see if I can find similar, more up-to-date documentation as well based on these that I have already (The Federal Reserve, for example, likes to name all their stuff the same it would seem <.<...). Let me know if you would like any of this information (or if it would be way too much) and I can get it to you. :)

Man, brings back memories when I first started studying about wolves... geez... I read ALL this stuff?... I remember it all too.... lol

will I think be a very good read for this, I have books and everything else and I've found stuff on websites too.
(Been having a good look today (: )
So thanks very much GTX! Much appreciated! (and to you Sharona!)
And a little bit of extra reading never hurt anybody! XD

The quesions that I am focusing on are: (you have to pick 2 out of 4 with a maximum of 1500 words. Just to give you an idea. Tehe. )

Why is Yellowstone National Park conservation efforts so important to the rest of the wolf? What impact has the wolf had on this?
&
Yellowstone National park is a 2.2 million acroe laboratory for the wolf project team. What further areas of research could they now undertake to increase our understanding of wolf behaviour?
(^For this^ I am possibly thinking of video cameras by den sites. Although I have no idea if they have done this yet, and they'd have to place it before the wolf gives birth so the people wont disturbe them and force them to move or worse... I know they have got radio collars but that only helps keep track of them. Any other sugesstions?)

The other quesions are: (in case you are wondering)
What would be an ideal Managment Plan for the control of wolves now in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem?
&
Take a breed of dog with a distinct behaviour pattern and describe this behaviour in a wolf and the other behaviours the completnent it in the wolf. How does this make the wolf better/worse then the breed of dog you have chosen?

Your questions on "Why is Yellowstone National Park conservation efforts so important to the rest of the wolf? What impact has the wolf had on this?" and "What would be an ideal Managment Plan for the control of wolves now in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem?" will be answered very well in the documents I have listed.

How long do you have left on this? If I have some time, I'd like to see if we can find more updated information for you.

There is no hunting of predators inside National Park boundaries  However the ones unfortunate to not recognize Man's boundaries, not so lucky.

Although it doesn't actualy say how long I can work on each assignment, it only says that if your doing the course. So if your doing it from the 1st Feb (which I did) then its finished by Oct 31st. Its 9 month course. Those documents would be fantastic. =3

Enjoy. Unzip the files and be sure you have Adobe Reader installed.

Still keep in mind that most of this information is almost 20 years old. It will still be good practice to see if you can find something newer before attempting to use this to its fullest.

Its all much appreciated!
I guess with these sorts of thing, I don't know where to start looking for, & plus I havn't done anything huge written assignments for at least three years or so. =/
it came as a bit of a shock!
My last assingment I got was 79% and the one before was a 69% so I'm in the credit area.
